Clamp Module
The Clamp Module provides the core HAL® functions of attachment and anchoring when used in conjunction with other HAL equipment.
The spring-loaded grip is made from a composite material with a steel spring. It is fitted with a wire cable and eye for line attachment. Colous may vary from those shown here, due to product evolution and availability. The grip is useful for positive attachment of a main line to textile or flexible sheet material. This can be achieved with minimal disturbance of the object to be moved due to the lightweight construction of the grip.
The vice grip has been modified to include an eye which enables the main line to be attached directly to the grips. The grips can be attached to objects to provide an anchor point, or positively attached directly to an item for semi-remote retrieval.
The sharp-toothed crocodile jaw grip is manufactured from steel. A unique cantilever design transmits tension in the line to the jaws to increase the gripping force. The toothed jaws can be rotated 90° to maximize the effective gripping area. A stainless-steel wire belay is fitted to the rear for line attachment. The grip is used for seizing the edges of heavy sheet materials (e.g. carpets, tarpaulins, coats) and other soft objects (e.g. sacks). The positive hold makes the grip highly effective for dragging objects.
The pouch is made from rugged, abrasion-resistant fabric, and features mesh pockets on the interior lid, and elastic loops on interior base. The pouch has a double slider zipper closure. The rear of the pouch features Velcro® Hook and two MOLLE straps with snaps to provide a variety of attachment options.
