Gated Cutter Modules

The Gated Cutter Module is supplied in two (2) configurations; one colored black the other green. The Gated Cutter enables the Operator to cut clothing, webbing, ropes and other textiles semi-remotely when used in conjunction with other HAL equipment.

The green gated cutter offers high visibility options in addition, this cutter offers suitable below water visual properties where the green cutter is suitable for deep waters.

The Cutter is fitted with a pair of ceramic blades which provide a non-conductive cutting edge. The dual blade design enables two simultaneous cuts. The spring gates can be removed if it is not necessary to capture the target material.

The gated feature was specifically designed for use in Maritime missions to capture the material to be cut so that it would not fall off in moving water while the Operator moves back to the safe area. A weight or float can be attached to the blade end of the cutter to keep the target against the gate and away from the blades until the pulling action is commenced.

Four (4) spring gates and four (4) ceramic blades are provided as spares.

The pouch is made from rugged, abrasion-resistant fabric, and features a mesh pocket on the interior lid, and an elastic loop on the interior base. The pouch has a double slider zipper closure. The rear of the pouch features Velcro® Hook and two MOLLE straps.
