HAL Maritime Backpack Kit

The HAL® Maritime Backpack is a fully comprehensive EOD/IEDD rigging kit that has been designed to provide semi-remote access, handling and removal capability for EOD/IEDD tasks and scenarios in both underwater and above water (ships, etc.) environments.

This System is designed to provide Maritime Operations Bomb Technicians (MOBTs) the tools they need to complete their tasks in a safe and efficient manner in complex terrain.

MOBTs will work in open or flowing fresh or saltwater including but not limited to rivers, lakes, oceans, and associated docks/harbors. Threats may be underneath ships or piers, buried in substrate, and may be subject to partial or total ice coverage.

MOBTs will work on land near open or flowing bodies of water including but not limited to docks, boats/ships, bridges, or rocky or sandy beaches in hot/cold and good/bad weather with operations often exceeding 24 hours.

The custom designed BombTec backpack enables user configurable solutions for carrying equipment on short and long duration tasks. It features a generous array of MOLLE attachment points on the exterior, and the interior is lined with Velcro Loop.

Each of the Modules which make up the HAL Maritime Backpack Kit are supplied in a rugged, abrasion-resistant fabric pouch featuring a double slider zipper closure, a mesh pocket on the interior lid, and elastic loops on the interior base. As with the modular approach to the entire BombTec product line, each pouch features Velcro Hook backing and two MOLLE straps with snaps to provide the flexibility to affix modules to the interior or exterior of the BombTec Backpack, to MOLLE loops on Med-Eng Bomb Suits, or onto to most other tactical equipment.

The Hi-visibility Green Main Line is carried in a robust protective Reel Bag, fitted with a clear plastic viewing window to give the operator an instant view of the contents without having to open the bag. It also has a pair of external pockets. This bag can be used as a carry bag to bring tools downrange.
